The Process

From two exports to your own numbers.

Three steps. No prints, no CAD, and nothing to install.

Step 1: Send two exports

A quote log — date, customer, part, value, won or lost. And closed jobs — estimated hours, actual hours, material cost, outside processing. Straight out of your ERP, or out of the spreadsheets you actually use. Nothing else, and no prints.

Step 2: I read them

Hit rate by customer, part family, quote value band and response time. Estimated against actual hours by part family and by machine. Which customers you win from, and whether those are the ones whose work actually paid.

Step 3: You get the findings

Written plainly, with the numbers under every claim, and a call to walk you through it. If something is worth building after that, we scope it then. If nothing is, I tell you that instead.

Not every business is a fit. We would rather be upfront about that than waste your time or ours.

Most vendors hand you a build and move to the next client. I stay on after the work goes in — watching what it does, fixing what breaks, adjusting as the shop changes. If it is not doing what we scoped, I keep working it until it does, instead of walking away once it is live.

Industrial engineer, not a software vendor.

I was trained to take waste and rework out of manufacturing operations — cycle times, throughput, scrap, setup against run time. I am not a developer guessing at how a shop runs. When the estimator becomes the bottleneck between an RFQ and a booked job, that is a queueing problem before it is a software problem.

Your numbers, never your prints.

The review never touches prints, CAD, STEP files or specs. It reads a quote log and a job history, which are the two things your shop already records. That is also why customer NDAs and export-controlled drawings never come into it.

Questions people ask us.

I read two exports out of your shop — a quote log with won and lost, and closed jobs with estimated against actual hours — and hand back what they say. Hit rate by customer, part family and quote value band. Where quoted hours ran under actual, and on which parts. Which part families to price up, and which to stop quoting.

The review either finds something in your numbers or it does not. If it does not, you are out two exports and I am out a week. Anything built after that is scoped against a written definition of done, agreed before the work starts.

The system is live and running within 21 days of the first call. You will see the basic mechanics working right away - nothing sitting unanswered, follow-up going out on schedule. What counts as a result is something we define together before we build, based on your business, not a guess.

21 days from your first call to a live, running system. Days 1 to 5 are discovery and scoping. Days 5 to 7 you review and approve the spec. Days 7 to 21 we build and test in your real operation. We tell you upfront if scope means it takes longer.
